We are partnered with a reputable construction organization seeking a Construction Billing Coordinator for a direct hire opportunity. The ideal candidate is assertive, confident, and experienced in construction billing, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Electrical industry experience is a significant plus.
Prepare and process construction billings, including progress billing, T&M billing, and final invoicing.
Review contracts and billing terms to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
Track change orders, lien releases, retention, and project-specific documentation.
Partner closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Accounting to gather job cost data and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain accurate job cost records, budgets, and billing logs.
Review job schedules, subcontractor agreements, and vendor documentation as needed.
Submit billing packages to clients and follow up for approvals and payments.
Support month-end processes, including revenue recognition and job cost reconciliation.
Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries and ensure clear communication.
Contribute to process improvements to enhance billing efficiency and accuracy.
2-4 years of Construction Accounting/Billing experience required.
Electrical construction industry experience is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of AIA billing, progress billing, and construction contract terms.
Assertive, confident communicator comfortable contacting clients, PMs, and leadership.
Proficient with construction accounting/ERP systems (Procore, Viewpoint, Spectrum, Foundation, Sage 300, etc.).
Strong Excel skills with ability to work within complex billing spreadsheets.
High attention to detail, ability to manage deadlines, and strong organizational skills.
Status: Direct Hire
Schedule: Full-time, onsite
Compensation: Up to $75,000 annually, depending on experience
